Everyone at Youth Cancer Trust would like to extend a huge thank you to AFC Bournemouth and the Cherries Community Fund for their generous grant of £2,000 in support of the charity’s work with young adults living with and beyond cancer.
The funding will help Youth Cancer Trust continue providing therapeutic wellbeing holidays and support for young people aged 18 and over who were diagnosed with cancer before the age of 30.
Based in the peaceful Dorset countryside, the charity offers a safe and supportive environment where guests can rebuild confidence, form friendships and take time away from the ongoing challenges cancer can bring.
The cheque presentation was attended by Wendy from Youth Cancer Trust, who was delighted to accept the funding on behalf of the charity.
Support from organisations such as AFC Bournemouth and the Cherries Community Fund makes a real difference and helps ensure more young people can access vital support and experiences that improve wellbeing and reduce isolation.
On behalf of all the staff, guests and supporters at Youth Cancer Trust, we would also like to congratulate AFC Bournemouth on their recent success and wish everyone at the club the very best in Europe.
Thank you once again for your support and we’d also like to thank Joe Roach (Retired Head of Player Progression and Academy Training)
