Jo is an award-winning tap dancer and choreographer, director of Tap Attack and Guinness World Record holder. With countless TV and theatre credits, an illustrious teaching career and numerous World Championship titles, she is a much sought-after teacher. Currently head of dance at Wilkes Academy, for the past 18 years Jo has been a regular tap teacher at many of the UK’s leading full-time dance colleges and is also in much demand as a guest teacher and choreographer at national and international conventions, workshops and festivals.
Tap Attack was founded by Jo in 2007, building an international reputation for excellence, regularly featuring in theatrical, TV and corporate performances and also training the UK’s national tap team with 38 World Titles to date.

After gaining Fellowship status in both tap and modern, Jo was awarded a number of scholarships to train in the U.S. and became the first ever dancer to be awarded the prestigious musical scholarship, The Finzi Fellowship.
Jo’s numerous choreography and performance credits include ITV’s This Morning, The Alan Titchmarsh Show, Britain’s Got Talent, Born To Shine, Little Big Shots, Sky One’s Guinness World Records Smashed, Got To Dance, Weekend Sunrise along with a wealth of international theatre and corporate credits in the UK, Europe and America.
