Our Ambassador and friend, Joe Musker, has been supporting the Trust for over 15 years. A former professional drummer for Dead or Alive, Joe combines his musical expertise and his devotion to supporting young people, by hosting an annual Drumming4Life fundraising event.
With this year’s plans on lockdown, Joe’s determination to continue raising money, inspired him to try something a little different.
Throughout the months at home, Joe grew a distinguished beard, posting regular updates of his progress on social media. As his beard grew, so did his followers, with donations pouring in to his Just Giving account.
By the 7th July, the day of the shave at Tuckton Barber Shop, Joe had raised an impressive £1000 which will go towards supporting teenagers and young adults with cancer.
Quoted in an article for Bournemouth Echo, Joe said ‘The Youth Cancer Trust is just a fantastic place and this money will go to help a lot of worthy children.’
Our thanks to Joe for his ongoing support and friendship, to Mike Keating at Tuckton Barber’s and everyone who made a donation.
This year, Joe and his supporters, Absolute Music, have organised a Drumathon.
